why does my 2 year old always cry when i come to pic him up from his mums?
every weekend i come to pick up my son from his mothers and every time i do so he crys like mad and runs away its been happening for a year now and my ex has now decided to take a step back and is telling me we should come to an agreement where i would come round to her place and spend time with him
i just dont get why he crys when i pick him up it funny cause after i pick him up and 5 mins later down the road he has stopped and he is laughing and we are playing
i have tryed coming with smarties his fav sweets i have tryed coming with a a finger puppet glove i have tryed a silly looking mask and even when i took it off he cryed he was more scared of me then the mask im just really confused
It is funny how blind people are when it comes to what children need.
From the age of 0 to at least 16 kids need stability. When ever parents put their lives first before their kids this is what happens.
If you were to just leave him that would be bad also. If you were to reunite with his mother that would be real bad.
So you are left with this.
Please do not bribe him with candy.
Chances are his mother is not helping in the visit part of her son’s life.
Talk to his mother and developed ways to keep the trama of this to a minimum. Remind her that this is about the child and not about either of you.
If this little thing gets fixed then growing up will be ok for him. But if this turns into a power struggle between you and his mother, only the child will suffer the consequences.
I do hope all of you can work this out.
